MAY 4        Cinco de Mayo Many people think that this holiday is Mexico's Independence Day.  It isn't.  Let's celebrate it with Rev. Liz McMaster and learn a little more about the history of our southern neighbor.

MAY 11    MOTHERS' DAY COFFEE HOUSE  What are you doing today that connects you to your past?  Are you sorting possessions or photographs that once belonged to your mother and/or your father?  Have you found an old acquaintance and renewed that association?  Have you taken on an activity that recalls fond memories?  Come talk about these connections over coffee and something sweet.  We'll get to know each other better!

MAY 18    SPRING WILL BE A LITTLE LATE THIS YEAR.  Jane Ellen concludes her seasonal explorations with the music of spring, a period reflecting rebirth, the anticipation of seasons to come, or wistful yearnings for times left behind.

MAY 25        MUSIC FOR THE HEART AND HEAD: CHILDREN'S MUSIC FOR ADULTS  L. Dennis Higgins, Kansas Music Hall of Fame inductee, nationally recognized educator, and awarding winning New Mexico teacher, composes, sings, and plays his own compositions as well as those of outstanding students.  He is likely to lead us in singing some well known folk songs.
